Mission Statement
The mission of Vasquez High School, with the support of parents/guardians, School Board, faculty and community, is to provide a safe and secure environment where students through quality programs that recognize their individual needs, can obtain skills and knowledge necessary to meet a challenging future. Students will be encouraged to develop an appreciation for learning as a life-long process and to realize their responsibilities to each other as well as the larger community.

The mission of Vasquez High School, with the support of parents/guardians, School Board, faculty and community, is to provide a safe and secure environment where students through quality programs that recognize their individual needs, can obtain skills and knowledge necessary to meet a challenging future. Students will be encouraged to develop an appreciation for learning as a life-long process and to realize their responsibilities to each other as well as the larger community.Student scholars attending Vasquez High School will leave our school with an education that will prepare them for living in a complex world that will demand much of them than previous generations. Consequently, the instructional program offered at VHS will reflect those demands both in the level of academically rigorous content as well as expected competencies and student performance results. Every student to the greatest extent possible will receive a 4 year program designed to meet the University of California and California State University entrance requirements. As students get closer to their senior year, they may modify their 4 year plan to focus on a specialized instructional program that prepares them for a career technical education or an alternative career pathway.
